Apache Ok , Lake Lawtonka and the Wichita Mts.
2 weekends almost 800 miles
these 2 weekends were dedicated to finding Indian cemeteries.
And find we did.
Now I'm going to do this update different
I am posting the video first then the story and pic's
with another video (un-edited) at the end.
Enjoy

The Wichita mts are located in SW Oklahoma.
About 203 miles from our house.
If you take hwy 115 from Hwy152 south it's called a scenic byway
and it is a blast to ride.
It runs right between and into the mts.
We are planing a ride back to this area to play and enjoy the things it has to offer
and we will be on Skull. So look for that update soon.
Both weekends (ok Saturdays) it was cloudy, overcast and even rain a little both trips down.
But anyone that knows us knows rain will not stop us.
But before we get to the lake and SW Oklahoma
we had to make stops at the places we take all our bikes
for pics

Now for some pic's from our rides
This church is or was built to bring Christianity the indians
it's right off the lake

Which brings me to the video of the lake
There isn't much video but it gives you and idea of what it looks like
it is also un edited

Voyager(2)'s first trip
also known as the run to Monticello Ark. part 2
So after a year and a half of looking and waiting I located another
1984 Kawasaki Voyager zn1300 less than 2 miles from our house.
So I bought her
She hadn't been on the road for a few years
had to take her by to Sandra and show her off

I assembled the crew
made sure the cloaking device was working
 replaced the front tire
and checked with the captain on where she wanted to go
Without even a second thought she said back to Monticello Arkansas to take better pictures of The Rock Spring Cemetery and to try to find the lost VanLandingham Cemetery. So on the first ride on a new to us bike which we hadn't even taken around the block, she wants to go on a 800+ ride.
Sure why not, I'm free this weekend.
We got up early Sat morn and packed her up and headed up I-40 to Arkansas

We hit Van Buren just in time for lunch and the gun fight

Made our way south to Monticello and found a hotel for the night

ate at Mexican place next door
food was ok at best

Sunday morning came early my phone went off playing music at 2:30 in the morn
that was odd and a little creepy
Lynn thinks the room was haunted
BOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Up, packed up,and ready to roll
today's goal is to go back to 2 of the cemeteries  we visited a few years back
and to find a lost and hard to find cemetery.
Now all these cemeteries are Lynn's family cemeteries and one (Rock Springs) church and
cemetery was built by her family.

First the lost cemetery
which after doing lots of research (Lynn)
seems to be on private property in a cow field

Then The Handly cemetery

and lastly or her family cemeteries
Rock Springs

Now while we were her Lynn was stung by a wasp reaching into the infomation box
attached to the sigh on the right
Which brings us to the video
You know you have a cool wife when the first thing out of her mouth
after being stung is SHTAKO.
Which is the word for shit off of Defiance.
So that made the choice for the music really easy
"oh and look real close at the 2:29 mark"
Enjoy

The rest of the day was spent stopping at a few more cemeteries and working our way back home.
very uneventful till we reach the outskirts of OKC.
We didn't have the video camera going because well it's the outskirts of OKC and we have filmed it
a few times. We get close to I-40 and Choctaw road and here they come.
Onto the on ramp 10 bikes screaming onto the hwy, pipes roaring and popping and loud man were they loud. You could see the fear and confusion on the Sunday eve drivers faces. They were cutting across 3 lanes to get to the far left lane.Which is where Lynn and I was, cutting us off too.
Now I can understand why they did it, just a ways up the hwy splits, one goes to downtown the other goes to the cross town. They were headed the same area we were headed, downtown.
But it's the way they did it, cutting in and out of traffic, ridding up on the tails of the cars and just pissing me off. After seeing one of the guys shirts that read "Stock Bikes Suck" and him being on a mostly stock HD well it was time to get us some.
Lynn fired up the video camera and I kicked Voyager
And we got us some
Enjoy
