Evening Ride
So the story goes like this.
A few years back Lynn and I were Screaming along some 2 lane black top road out in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma, some where along the ride Lynn starts yelling "turtle, turtle, turtle"!
This went on for what seemed forever. Yes she seen a turtle in the road, which I also seen and
was making sure I did not hit it.
Now before you say good looking out you have to know the whole story. You see the turtle
was in the middle of the road, about a 1/4 mile in front of us (yes it was a big turtle) and I had
seen it long before she started yelling. I already had in my mind not to run over it, but Lynn
well she started yelling turtle and kept yelling turtle for almost the entire time and even asked
after we went past the turtle if I seen it? LOL
Now this has been a big joke between us for many years, and anyone who has meet Lynn and spent any time riding or hanging out with her knows she can be more like a kid than an adult. Now thats not a bad thing it keeps both my every day life and life on the rad interesting. You know the ride is going to be interesting when you ask her which way at a 4 way stop and she says follow the butterflies LOL. 18 miles on and lose gravel road and two wood plank bridges later you find the black top.
Never a dull ride with her.
Well I tell you all that to share this.
An Evening ride
We rode out of OKC in sun shine ran into rain west of OKC and rode back into town

So we took a ride last Sunday Aug 21 down to
Turner Falls, Davis and Sulphur Oklahoma.
It wasn't a very long ride about 210 miles round trip but it was
a cool August day (for Oklahoma) and we had not been to this part of the state in awhile so off we went.
We also visited 3 cemeteries and ate breakfast in Purcell Oklahoma.
It was a great ride and a great day to make a trip to part
of the state that can be a lot of fun.

Well it's been a very busy 2 weeks.
First Falkor is still alive and kickin.
That's a good thing.
Where to start Hmmmm, ok lets start with the house.
Salazar started doing the roof last Weds Aug.10,2016
as of Monday morn they had not finished, easy job my backside.

Two weeks ago we bought a pedal boat.
Since the lake is about 1 1/2 miles from us here in Bethany and because there are so many lakes down by the new house and because renting one is about $65.00 for 4 hours it was cheaper to by one.
Now I had to customize it once I got it home.
what it looked like our first time out
 what it looks like now
We spent all day Sunday Aug 14 out on Skull
11 hours and 363 miles
yeah I know thats not many miles, but it was about being out on the bike and exploring, and we must have done that.
Over 400 pic's 2 cemeteries (one and old Indian cemetery)
took some roads we had never been down and went to check on the roof job at the house.

Now for a fun video
Enjoy

I bought Lynn an old buffet and we are planing on using it as a bathroom vanity in the up stairs
bathroom. Yeah Lynn has always wanted a 2 story house and well lets just say she found out
the joys of moving furniture up the stairs. LOL

Now no trip down south would be complete with out a visit to the wildlife area.

well thats it for now
to all of you out riding enjoy and be safe
