Valentines Day Ride 2015
So it started with a simple question
Lynn "what time is it"
Me "almost 7"
and then went into this
Almost 7 west virgina
Blue Ridge Mtn's
Shenandoah River.
You get right?
So by the end of this day with temps 80 on Feb 14 it turned out to be a great day to ride and to be with Lynn. We covered almost 250 miles going nowhere planed just riding. We did visit a place that we had talked about. Jesse Chisholm is buried here in Oklahoma on land owned by Chief Left Hand. The Chisholm Trail is named for him and the work he did in the area.So we decided to find his grave site and take some pictures.
This is easyer said than done
Because even with the sign on the side of the road showing the way, once you get started down the road, the other signs are missing till you about a 1/4 of a mile from the grave site. So with a few wrong turns and a few miles down dirt roads we stopped to ask for directions. You do have to go down about 2 1/2 miles of dirt and gravel roads to get to the site. But don't expect to find this place without hunting for it. (LOL)
