Washita Battlefield
and WAYYYYY west
Oklahoma
But first we rode 2 evenings for supper and took the pupies for thier ride

It was a Voyager weekend. As it gets hotter we will ride her less and less
she is not a hot weather bike, even with her being water cooled.
We woke up early and left late on Sunday. This was to be an all dat out on the road see what we can see day.We knew that we were headed west and ended up not to far from the Oklahoma Texas state line.
We rode route 66 west which is on the south side on I-40 so you get to see the trucks and cars going east. So just to be having some fun I chose a stupid song for this video.

So we did what we do while out riding, we stopped and visited a few cemeteries
while we were at the Rhea Oklahoma cemetery something caught Lynn's ears.
She kept hearing a bird and she was looking for it.But she was looking up into the trees.
Once she started looking at the ground she seen a bird moving around on the ground hurt.
So after telling her that he was not hurt, he was leading her away from a nest, she seen the nest and the mother bird. And there were babies in the nest.
They are called Killdeer

The old school house, out house and storm celler

Arapaho Oklahoma had a nice cemetery
It was time to head further west
we made Cheyenne Oklahoma and gassed up and headed to the Washita Battlefield
it was less than 2 miles away.
They close at 5pm and we got there at 4:30 so we would have a very short visit.
we walked the grounds and talked with the park rangers and then it was time to go.

Riding in the heat in western Oklahoma got me thinking of the beach and even New Orleans
We really need to head to the Ocean.
We do have a 4 1/2 day ride coming up in the middle of July.
I am not telling where but I can say it's not to the Ocean
Be safe out there peeps
and we will see you on the road.
